This rocks. I actually love the one I have but I have those damn flip levers and it's super inconvenient to change heights during filming. I always have to cut the scene. Def on the "buy" list. Thanks Kyle.
My experience with squeeze release mechanisms in the music industry leaves me wary that in about 15 months, there will be some issues keeping the pole elements locked. If they managed to perfect that - then very awesome!
I want this! 😀 My current stand for my camera and light for talking head videos is a stand with 2 pistol grip mounts and it is so convenient to use when adjust the height of the camera and light. This is basically the more portable version. 😍
I had hoped for a lot of this video, which was nice btw, that your reference to ball head was going to mean there was a ball joint at it's base for levelling. Level issues can be a pain when the ground isn't paricularly even. The search continues.
Hi Kyle, perfect quick review, thanks a lot! 1 question: You talked about wildlife. Let's assume I am in the terrain and it goes up or down somehow (e.g. 10 degrees). And I want to have the monopod absolutely vertical to prevent the equipment from falling over. Is it possible to fix the latch at the bottom also in this "80 resp. 100 degree" angle / position? Or is fixed mode only possible when the angle between legs and center part is exactly 90 degrees? Thanks a lot in advance! Kind regards, Ralf
@KyleWattsTV Exactly. We must have seen the same RUclips video from NAB where they stated that there would be a carbon fiber model. I don't want aluminum. I want the carbon fiber one. I'm glad I didn't participate in their Kickstarter campaign. Because I would still be waiting for the carbon fiber model. I already have one of their other models that's a carbon fiber that works great. But I want that particular model that you just squeeze the handle for it to go up and down.
curious about this as well. from what I can tell, the pineta pro features two safety locks to prevent accidental presses on height adjustment as well as the quick release portion. it's also carbon fiber vs aluminum. and the base legs are slightly longer. bummed that I just missed the introductory sale on it.
I really wanted to like this but the price is quite high but moreover it also has a significantly lower weight capacity compared to their other models so that gives me lots of worries
Not sure why I kept saying ball head instead of fluid head. My bad!
That thing is so sweet! Awesome job bro! Hopefully I get one of those bad boys!
my kickstarter order arrives on monday can't wait!
@@Mr.Zen_73 awesome! It’s pretty rad

What do you think about the sirui svm? It does mostly the same with it. It is carbon fiber and cheaper as well
Their Kickstarter video stated that there would be one in a carbon fiber model that's the one I'm waiting on I don't want the aluminum one.
That’s what I thought too. I also remember them having one at NAB this year

How do you think this would compare to the YC onion Pineta Pro monopod?
Haven’t used that one so I can’t really compare them.

At what amount of subscribers do you need for a company to usually send you stuff. Also do you have to email them?
Fluid head
